Our Thaibonnet parboiled rice is extra thin and characterized by very long, tapering grains. Parboiled rice has greater nutritional value and it is easier to store than regular rice.

production method

The rice is steam treated under pressure (hydrothermal treatment) so that the nutritious elements, vitamins and minerals contained in the germ and bran are forced inside the grain. Moreover, the treatment causes the starch to gelatinise, thus preventing the rice from overcooking.

Parboiling is followed by the drying phase, that ensures the ideal moisture content of the rice.

serving

Thaibonnet parboiled rice is particularly suitable for rice salads, oriental dishes and side dishes. To prepare a rice salad, use 80 grams rice per serving.
