Bottega di Casa Bottega evolved from Distilleria Bottega’s wine-growing tradition that has gained worldwide popularity and acclaim thanks to Alexander and Bottega grappas.
In 1992 Distilleria Bottega acquired olive oil producer Mulino della Botte in Umbria, and began to produce olive oil under the Bottega name.
The organic food line was born in 2001, when Sandro Bottega organized a group of farms to produce organic food focusing on top quality and a careful selection of ingredients.
The company has achieved ISO 9001 certification.
Distilleria Bottega
Distilleria Bottega has been involved with Italian wine and grappa for three generations. In the 1920s, Domenico Bottega was a wine trader. He was a passionate oenologist and was able to recognise the best grapes when still on the vine.
In 1977 Aldo Bottega moved his distillery to Pianzano di Godega and gave it its current name: Distilleria Bottega. At the end of the ’70s it was a small company producing grappa for the local market.
After the founder’s death in 1983, his son Sandro took over the company, helped by his sister Barbara and his brother Stefano.
In 1987 the new brand Alexander was added to the original Bottega. Alexander’s products appeal to increasingly educated and refined consumers, including young people and women.
